Polwarth is a breed developed in the 1880's by crossing Lincoln and Merino sheep. This results in an animal not as prone to the health problems of the Merino. The fiber from this cross is every bit as lovely as Merino, with perhaps just a bit more staple length, and is quite creamy. Fantastic for next to the skin projects.
